Changing hyperlink font colour
-
When I was first using this theme ‘Plane’ I could change the colour of my hyperlinks that I’d used within the body of my blog posts so they stood out. Recently they seem to have defaulted to a colour that hardly shows at all and even when I select a different colour on the live post they go back to the default. Is there a way I can change this or is this a fixed update to the design that I can no longer change? Seems strange to have a default hyperlink colour be almost the same as the main body colour, hoping it’s a case of ‘user error’!
Many thanks in advance :-)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, can you say a bit more about how you were changing the hyperlink color? Do you have either the Premium or Business plan upgrade which allows you to edit the CSS of your theme?

Hi! I have the basic plan so don’t think I can edit the CSS (not that I know how to do that!)
Previously, when in edit mode I’d create a hyperlink which would link to the relevant word or phrase in my blog post and then I’d highlight that bit of prose and change the text colour.
That used to work fine and in my earlier posts I can still see those words highlighted in turquoise. But in recent posts they’re all showing as a dark greyish blue which doesn’t stand out at all so a reader could easily miss the links.
Does that help clarify?
Thank you in advance! -

Hello again, In my testing in the Calypso Post Editor, the method you described did not work for me when creating a new post. I was however able to make the linked text bold, which made it stand out against the regular text. Testing in the WP Admin Post Editor I was able to change the link color in new posts.
Also, in case you didn’t know, the Plane theme has 4 free, custom color palettes that you can switch between in the Customizer to change the appearance of your site. I believe that link color is also part of each palette.
Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other question about this.

Thank you so much! I’ll try your suggestions. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me :-) I’ll update you once I’ve had a play!
