Changing ID email address

I want the email for notifications to be (email visible only to moderators and staff). Whenever I try to change it I get the notice – ERROR: That e-mail address is already being used. – I assume it is in use because it’s my email address. The one WP refuses to change is (email visible only to moderators and staff). – Since I no longer have that website that address is obviously no good. I want the email address for notifications on personal settings and public profile use to be the same i.e. (email visible only to moderators and staff) on both blog sites, papermudandme.wordpress.com, and writingiam.wordpress.com.
How can we fix that?

Hi there. If the two blogs are in different accounts you won’t be able to use the same email for both as you can only have one account connected to an email address. http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
If you want to use one email for both, you’ll have to transfer the one blog to the other account:

I want the email address for notifications for identity and notifications from WP and public profile to be the same i.e. (email visible only to moderators and staff). I want that on both blog sites, papermudandme.com and writingiam.wordpress.com.
To the best of my knowledge they are both on one account with papermudandme.com the primary account.
I signed up for Blogging 101, but have not been able to receive anything because you do not have a viable email address for me.
I went to the forums but they couldn’t help me. Now that 9/23 has arrived I am hoping this can be straightened out.

Hi Paul,
I see that you were able to change your email address for this account (papermudandme) to a new one. This account is linked to both of the sites you mentioned (papermudandme.com and writingiam.wordpress.com) so you’re all set there.
However, the Gmail address you mentioned ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) is currently being used with a different WordPress.com account. Each WordPress.com account has to have a unique email address linked to it, so you won’t be able to use that email address with this account right now. We have more about that here: Email Address
