Changing image

  Hi,

  My profile has decided make itself Carreg Dressage when I wanted it to be Ffynnhonell how can I change it now please? It seems to have chosen itself from my e mail address. also I would like to change the style – is this selected for ever or can I go back and choose another format. Sorry for general pathetic ness I am a blogging virgin!

  Let’s be clear about this. Username accounts do not magically chnage. When we register a username account and provide an email address it becomes our unique identifier. Every blog we register while logged into WordPress.com under that username account is owned by that same username account.

  We can change usernames but if we do that there is a clear warning stated at the very outset that this cannot be reversed.

  Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

  You registered the ffynnonhell username account but you did not register the matching blog

  ffynnonhell.wordpress.com doesn’t exist

  You can register it now if that is what you want to do. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  However, the title on this thread is “Changing image”.
  Which image do you mean? Where is it?

  If you are referring to changing themes you can do that very easily.
  Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
  browse themes until you find one you like and click “activate”
  or type in the name of the theme you want to use and
  click the “activate” link when it appears

  After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.
