I want to change the name of teh default Link Category from Blogroll to Links. I went into Administration>>>Links Link Categories, selected Edit, changed the name and clicked update, but the change has never shown up on the website. Any ideas what could be going wrong?
    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you mean it changed on the Link Categories page, but not in a widget, or elsewhere on the site?
You should be able to change the name of the Blogroll without difficulty. I suspect its failure to change after doing as you’ve described might be due to a browser issue. Clearing the browser cache and trying again might do the trick. One thing to note, though, is that changing the name will leave the slug as blogroll.

How to remove the Blogroll category, including the “blogroll” slug:
The default links category can not be deleted from the links categories. All other categories may be deleted. So the key things that you must do to get rid of Blogroll (name and slug) are to change the default links category from Blogroll to Links, or whatever you like, and reassign your links from Blogroll to Links, Tiddlywinks, or other categories. Once you’ve done these two things you may delete the Blogroll category.

    Step by step:
    1. Create a separate link category names Links.
    2. Move any links in Blogroll category to the Links category.
    3. Choose Links as your default links category at Settings > Writing.
    4. Go to the links categories page and delete Blogroll.

thanks for your reply, musicdoc1. Unfortunately, this is being very stubborn. I cleared my browser cache, no effect. I even went and created another Link Category, added all my links to that and then in Settings>>>Writing>>Default Link Category, changed it to the new Category named Links, but no change. Any ideas? Is it a theme thing? Can it be changed by CSS edit?

Is it possible to edit the sidebar.php file that I’ve read controls this title?
