Changing link colour in CSS

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi Guys

    I would like to change the colour of the links on my site in the CSS please.

    I tried to do so in the customiser but it changes the colour of the carousel heading to something I don’t want no matter what I do?

    I’d love the code so I can play with the colour I want to use.

    Thanks so much :)

    Hi there,

    Are you looking to change the color of all of the links on your page or just a specific area where links exist (for example the main menu)? or would you like all links to be a specific color except a particular areas links (for example the carousel). If so, we may have to style all of the links a certain way with CSS then target that area that you want styled differently and give if a different style via CSS.

    Please provide a little further detail as to what links you would like styled versus what links you would like to remain the same.

    I look forward to your response.

    Cheers

    Hi!

    Thanks for the reply

    Great point, I had not delved deep enough to know that answer till now. I love the underlined links throughout my Posts…but on Pages, the links are not underlined so I would love to be able to have them match the post formatting.

    Sorry about that – the colour question is not redundant.

    Okay, so there multiple elements on all pages and posts that are “links” – menu items, post and page headings, sub headings, tags, categories, and so on are all created the same way so therefor if you select all links using the following CSS:

    a {
        color: orange;
    }

    You will see that all associated links throughout your website will change to this color. This is why I ask, are there links in specific areas in which you would like to remain how they are currently, and specific areas you would like the links changed? If so, please provide this detail and we can look into targeting these areas specific selectors to change these elements only versus changing a broader range of them.

    I look forward to hearing back,

    Cheers

    Hi there

    I would like everything to remain as is throughout the site… with the exception of the links on Pages within the body text, please.

    Currently those links have no underlining. Can Pages links be underlined just like links on Posts are?
