Changing Media (Logo)
-
I clicked “Update” to change the media on my home page. Now although the change has been made on the dashboard, it won’t make the change live.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Where did you click “Update”? There are several places on the dashboard where images can be added for a variety of different reasons. Please tell us exactly what you were trying to do: Adding a custom header? Changing your blavatar? The site logo is updated under Appearance ->Customize if your theme supports it: http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-logo/
You also appear to have removed the footer credits on the home page. This is against the terms of service and your blog could be suspended if you don’t add them back.

Thanks for your attempt to help. As far as I know I haven’t done anything on the site yet, other than change the background from black to blue, add one photo, and attempt to change the logo from the “S” (Suburbia theme) to the Camp Fire logo. I uploaded the image/logo in Media and clicked “Update” from there. Maybe I should re-word the question: “How do I change the “S” in the Suburbia theme to a different image?” With regard to the footer, I don’t see a footer and did not intentionally delete it – nor do I see where to return it to the page. (Honestly, this is the most frustrating web developing software I have ever used. I’m used to being able drag and drop changes which appear to be “live” on the back-end, but aren’t actually live until activated.)

How do I change the “S” in the Suburbia theme to a different image?
It appears with your theme that logo is your custom header. Go to Appearance ->Customize in your dashboard. Click on the Header tab in the customizer. Click “Add New Image” and a pop-up to your media library should open where you can select the image you’ve uploaded. I see the theme recommends an image on 155×155 pixels, so make sure your uploaded logo is the correct size.

Then there might be something buggy with your theme. I’ll tag this for staff to follow up.
Honestly, this is the most frustrating web developing software I have ever used.
Sorry to hear you’re frustrated. There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you’ve mastered the basics this platform is really quite easy to use. If you haven’t yet, I recommend you work through the “Learn WordPress” support doc (http://learn.wordpress.com/) and the “Video Quick Start” tutorial (http://en.support.wordpress.com/video-quick-start/). You can also check out your theme’s support doc for info on the specific features you theme supports: https://wordpress.com/themes/suburbia/

Thanks for the info kokkieh! I see what you mean.
It’s very strange. @campfirerm – can you please create and publish a post so I can see if there’s maybe just something ‘stuck’ that gets corrected when you have content? It looks like you’re getting the wrong type of error on your front page, but I want to try this before asking our developers to take a look.
I think this is likely the same problem that is causing your error with designing your site. Sorry for the frustration, but I’m sure we can get this sorted out.
