Changing menu color in Dara?

    I’m trying to see if it’s possible to change the CSS of the menu on the Dara theme to make it red instead of the stock aqua. Stil very new to this, but have enabled CSS Classes on the Menu customization tab. Thanks for any help!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • So set the menu background colour to a specific colour, you’ll need Custom CSS, which is available with the Premium or Business plans. Custom menu classes aren’t needed, since WordPress already adds classes to the menu that you can hook into with your custom CSS.

    If you decide to upgrade, adding this custom CSS to the CSS panel in the Customizer should do the trick:

    .main-navigation {
      background-color: #FF5C5C;
    }

    As a side note, I noticed that you have a blank site title, which means your browser title is also blank. Browser titles are important for usability and search engines, so I’d strongly suggest you add it back. To hide it on the front end, just uncheck the “Display Site Title and Tagline” box in the Customizer‘s Site Identity panel.
