changing my blog address

  I’m having trouble changing my blog address from babyshavetastebuds2.wordpress.com to babybuds.wordpress.com. Could you please help me?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  My recommendation is to use the ‘Change your blog address‘ option on the My Blogs screen. Please note that this is irreversible once done.   Another option that other volunteers have suggested is to start a second blog with the desired name. You can export the content from the first site and import it to the second site. Changing the Privacy settings on the first blog to private, will allow you to use the first blog for testing.

  My suggestion is the second option, as I pointed out in an earlier forum thread. This keeps the process with fewer complications that the first option johndcoy mentioned has been known to cause.

  Since this is a frequently asked question, kindly search the forums first before posting.

  Also, as the blog is less than a day old, it’s unlikely to have many followers so a different url is not going to make any/much difference, so to speak.

  For an older blog, with lots of links and followers, option 1 would be the way to go.

  And here is some advice about how to search these forums:

  There is a search box up on top to find answers. There is also the tag search like so:
  https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/change-blog-address
  (which is a reason for all volunteers to tag forum threads as they come upon them)
  And you can use Google to search by typing into the search-box in a format like this:
  search term: site https://en.forums.wordpress.com/

  Thank you, 1tess, for expounding on the obviously missing bits in my post as well. This heat (even at 20:30) has me focused on other things, mostly ice cream. :)
