Changing my Blog Address
-
1: I’ve just created a new WordPress Blog
2: From my Dashboard I went to: WordPress.com Blog Site/Address Change
3: Then I completed the form…
My current address is: bettercreativewriting
New Blog/Site Address: better-creative-writing
Confirm: better-creative-writingMatching Username?: No
Discard Current Address?: (Left un-ticked)
Then I clicked the button at the bottom of this page: [Review my changes]
…page reloads with this text box message near the top:
{Site names can only contain lower case letters (a-z) and numbers}Which seems to suggest that I can’t have the hyphens in between each word ?
BUT: At the start, when I entered my keyword, (better creative writing) to create my address,
it gave this hyphenated-address (better-creative-writing) as an option,
so why can’t I change to this hyphenated-address now!?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
As specified “Site names can only contain lower case letters (a-z) and numbers”I guess it would have been previously typed by you and stored as cache for it to display as an option when keyword was entered.
Thank you.

Thanks iamrishaan:
I see now that the hyphenated-address is offered as a WordPress Premium option, so I guess that’s because It would be using a regular domain address, that can have an hyphenated-address.Many thanks
