Changing my blog address from blog.fxoversight.online to blog.fxoversight.com

    I recently changed from one domain to another – a shift from a .online to a .com site.
    During the change, my blog folders have been preserved. I suspect that the blog address is now blog.fxoversight.com rather than blog.fxoversight.online. I am wanting to change the blog address therefore within the wordpress profile etc, so that the blog is preserved.

    Hi @revlmh,

    seems you use self-hosted wp.ORG for both websites?
    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.     I suggest checking for solutions on WordPress.org community forums https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

    As neither your domain nor site is hosted by us (WordPress.com), you need to contact your domain/site provider.

    Hi – thanks. Unless I am seeing things completely wrong, this is a wordpress.com site, because I can login and see it.

    My problem is that when I log into my wordpress.com account, the site points to blog.fxoversight.online rather than blog.fxoversight,com. If I type in the .com blog address I can see a very rough version of the blog with all of the info there.

    As you can see from the jpegs attached, the wordpress blog is pointing in the wrong direction. My question is how I can change this address to the ,com address. It seems to me that this is something within WordPress.com rather than something my domain provider would deal with.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    On the page https://wordpress.com/stats/day/blog.fxoversight.online the left hand site name confirms that this indeed is the blog address. I just need to change this?

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

    You are able to manage it via WordPress.com as a feature of the Jetpack plugin, but that’s all.
