Changing my domain name

  Hi, I’d prefer my domain name to be a bit less obvious so really need to change it, how do i go about doing that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello @lifeasanniejo,
  Follow these instructions to change your domain:
  1. Go to My Site(s) → Domains or just click here: https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/.
  2. Click on the .wordpress.com address that you want to change.
  3. Click Edit Site Address. This will take you to the WP-ADMIN dashboard.
  4. Hover on the site address that you want to change, and then click on Change Blog Address.
  5. Enter and confirm your new address.
  6. Follow the successive prompts, and you will have to option to discard your current address(check this option if you are sure that you will not use this address again). If you want to redirect visitors from your old address you will had to purchase the Site Redirect upgrade.
  7. Finally click Continue to see the summary of your changes, click Continue again to make the change.
