Hi there,
I don’t see any domain registration or mapping upgrades associated with your account. Are you hoping to register a domain through WordPress.com and manage it through Network Solutions?
Or are you looking to use WordPress – available at http://wordpress.org – with your self-hosted site?

i think i was hasty
i have already registered a richblk.com domain name through Network Solutions. i thought i was just registering richblk on wordpress.com so i could essentially build a simple home page while i worked on a ‘proper’ website, ideally using WordPress – where i could use just ‘richblk.com’ without the ‘.wordpress.com’ bit
Speaking to a tech smart friend just now – he also mentioned Word Press.Org as the place to go, (i think NS (network solutions) only run wordpress 3.1) which again may be a big problem for me as well.
i basically
i havent done anything with the richblk account on wordpress as of yet and i think my 2 days cancellation is literally nearly up. (i was thinking to basically cancel http://richblk.wordpress.com/ and create a holding page (maybe somewhere else) while i got advice on how to proceed.can i cancel now and still use just ‘richblk.com’ at a future date?
any (asap) advice would be much appreciated!

Hi there,
You might want to set your blog, http://richblk.wordpress.com, to private.
That way, only you (and any users you authorize) will be able to view the site. You can set it to public whenever you’re ready to do so.

thanks Chris,
yeah i did that already, its the best solution.
also can someone tell me how to delete this thread from public searches?

Forum threads are public so we aren’t able to delete them or have them removed from search engine indexes. There’s information that this is public when you create the thread. We aren’t able to go back in and delete a thread once it’s made public.
