Changing my domain name on a my free word press site to a registered name

    Hi
I currently have two word press sites ( free accounts) which I am in the process of re-vamping dramatically , I would like to do the following:

    1) change the domain names for both (a &b)
    (a) I use this site to blog about my journey since graduating ( general blog topics)
    and
    (b) I use this site as a on portfolio and CV to show case to potential employers and show example on my work ( design work) and writing ( industry related posts) ( I work within marketing)

    2) I would like to make one an official domain name with out the use of ( wordpress.com), therefore after I have changed my domain name for (b) to my new name I would like to make that a non free plan.

    3) I would also like to find a way to link my wordpress (a) from (b) as I use the sites for two different purposes .

    4) My fourth question is whether it would be a better idea to combine the two into one registered domain and start fresh, as I currently do not have an anudience or followers etc.

Any advice and help is much appreciated.
    :)

    Hi there,
I would suggest you buy a domain for one of your sites and use the subdomain of that domain to link to your other site. You can find more information here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/

    Hi

Thank you for your reply, I will definitely consider this. However I do have one question?

When I use a sub-domain that links from my main domain site, how would this look like on my main site?

E.g Do you happen to know of any sites/blogs that currently link a sub-domain from their main domain site.

I would just like to see how it looks overall when it’s done.

    Thank you
