Changing my domain/url

  I’d really like to change my URL to something else and not use britzilian anymore. I currently pay for premium and was wondering if there is any easy way of doing that without having to pay for it twice OR lose my current content.

  Yes, you can register another domain and map to it from the same underlying .wordpress.COM URL. And, yes, you can have Staff replace the domain mapping in place now with domain mapping to the new domain URL.

  What is the domain URL that you want to register?

  Howdy,

  As you have already used the free domain that is part of your WordPress.com Premium, the advice from timethief is correct: you will need to purchase a new domain for your existing site, then mark it as the primary domain.

  Howdy again,

  I’ve split your current domain – britzilian.com – out from your WordPress.com Premium, so you can go ahead and get a new domain for your site following the instructions here: http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/register-domain/

  If you want to keep your existing domain name in addition to your new one, you will need to renew it manually within the next month as it will expire on January 21st 2016.
