Changing my email address.. doesn't work?

    Hi!
    I’ve tried to change my email address – with no luck. I got the confirmation email and pressed the link and changed the address. However, the change happened in my account(the right email is in the email field) but I can still log in to the same account with my old email address. I’d like to remove my old email completely, since I don’t use wordpress anymore, and it prevents me from commenting on other wordpress blogs.

    Note: You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.

    Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

    Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

    Try changing it at http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/ first.

    If that doesn’t work, try Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard.

    Thank you timethief for your help. Unfortunately the right email address is already in both those fields, so there is nothing to change. I can still log in with my old email though. Any more tips?
