Changing my leading email adrress

    Hi,
    My main wordpress account is on (email visible only to moderators and staff)/
    I would like to shut down this email and no longer use it, so I tried to change it to my gmail account, but wordpress gives me error message that this account already exists.
    How can I fix it?

    Hi there,

    What is the email you’re trying to use?

    If there’s already a WordPress.com account using that email, you’ll need to log into that account and change its email to something else first, before you’ll be able to use it for this account.
