Changing my most of my static pages into blog posts

I am reorganizing my wordpress site. I want to convert my pages, except for 4, into backdated blog posts. The problem is that when I copy and paste my page chunks into new posts and backdate them I still have to publish them. This means my followers are getting deluged with backdated posts while I reorganize my blogs. Is there a way I can avoid this? Or do I post that I am reworking my site and ask for their patience?
