changing my site from Blog.com to wordpress

    I own a domain. mynameisjamie.net In my inexperience I have been trying to get away from blog.com to wordpress. I paid the $13 it said I needed to pay. When I check info here it says that wordpress has picked up the site. But when I go to the site it is still with blog.com. Blog.com has NO customer support, no way to leave a question and goes down for days at a time – a lot. I’m not sure what exactly I should do to make sure the switch is complete and permanent. I read these directions here but somehow I don’t think I have done something right. When I go to my blog through wordpress it just brings up mynameisjamiedotnet.wordpress.com ( a mouthful ) I don’t want that.
