changing my theme

  I have purchased a bluchic theme and want to put it onto my current wordpress.com site. http://www.caroline-atelier.com, how do i do this? do i need to change to wordpress.org in order to add my bluchic theme. I would appreciate an urgent response as i have already put a comment in the forum and heard nothing back and it appears that i cannot get access to the online live support, to get help.

  Themes purchased outside of WordPress.com will not work here. Which theme did you purchase? I would be glad to suggest a WordPress.com theme that might work for your needs.

  Hi Kathryn,
  Thanks for replying. My website was designed on wordpress.com many moons ago. I purchased a bluchic theme which i use for my other business, but in order for me to use my theme i had to change my site from wordpress.com to wordpress.org but my website: (www.caroline-atelier.com) i have no idea now how to do this because i can’t seem to get actual support.
  ANy advice would be great,

  Thanks for the clarification. The support folks here at WordPress.com provide support for sites hosted here on WordPress.com, not self-hosted sites like yours.

  There are several routes to getting help with a self-hosted site like caroline-atelier.com, where you’re running the WordPress software on your own hosting:

  – You can ask for help from the theme developer through their support channel. Bluchic has a ticket system here: https://help.bluchic.com/submit-a-ticket/

  – You can post in the WordPress.org support forums:

  https://wordpress.org/support/

  You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

  https://wordpress.org/support/register.php

  – You can hire someone to assist you. jobs.wordpress.net and jetpack.pro are two places to find someone, as is your local WordPress meetup group.

  Generally, to change a theme on a self-hosted site, you would log into your dashboard — in your case, from here: http://www.caroline-atelier.com/wp-login.php

  Head to Appearance > Themes, and upload your new Bluchic theme from there.

  If you run into any trouble with those steps, please use one of the support avenues above.
