Changing my URL / Link to my blog

  Hi – I would like to change the link to my blog. Does this mean that people will have to re-subscribe or will my subscribers automatically be redirected to the “new” blog? Thanks! What about if I purchase a domain name? Will people have to re-subscribe then?

  Hello, You can change your blog address at any time. To have followers redirected to your new blog address , you will need to purchase the Site Redirect Upgrade, which can be found under Dashboard> Store. This upgrade is $13.00 per year per blog. If you would like to change your blog address, you will want to go to Dashboard>My Blogs. Under your blog address, two options will appear as you hover over, “Change Blog Address” and “Transfer Blog”.

  If you would like to purchase your own domain, instead of having a example.wordpress.com address, you can also do so in Store> Add a Domain.
