Changing my URL to another which I have reserved

  I’m trying to change the URL of my blog, but it says the name is registered. Which is true – it’s registered to me. But I can’t seem to get it to switch.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  We cannot help without specifics. Exactly what are the username accounts and the blog URLs please?

  Sure (and thanks for the help!)

  The user is mtcschoolswatch

  The blog is mtcschoolswatch.wordpress.com

  When I go to “Account options” it looks as follows:

  Username: mtcschoolswatch
  Email address: (I’m leaving this blank on the forum)
  Primary blog: mtcschoolswatch.wordpress.com
  Web address: http://montclairschoolswatch.wordpress.com

  I’d like the “primary blog” to be what the web address is. Right now when you enter the url it says the blog doesn’t exist and the address is reserved.

  Hi guys,

  First, sorry about creating multiple threads on this. I was just making things more confusing. I really appreciate your help. Here is a screenshot of the settings page which shows the Primary Blog vs the Web address.

  If what you want to do is change your primary blog address, you can do so here:
  https://wordpress.com/settings/account/

  Click on the site address in Primary blog and you should get a drop down menu that shows your other blogs, and you can choose a different one there.

  The Web Address field does not change your primary blog address but what shows up in comments on Gravatar.
