Changing My Username to a Current Blog (that is under this one)

  Dear WordPress Staff,

  I’m faced with an extremely frustrating problem. I have created a blog under this User, which is ArtisticVengeance and under that account. Two blogs, Hollowitz, and ArtisticVengeance.

  All I want to do is to change my Username to Hollowitz, but because of the blogsite I’ve created it will not allow me to. I was going to pay for the site upgrade to be “Hollowitz.com” but I feel little point in doing that if I have to type in “ArtisticVengeance” upon logging in.

  I’ve waited a long time to see if I would be able to change my username again because it said “This feature is currently down but will be up again in a few days” (it wasn’t a few days.)
  Anyway, you’ve been very supportive and wonderful in my blogging experience, and I’d be very appreciative to be able to continue using wordpress under my ‘close to name’ Username. If this is some how impossible, can you please tell me a way to make it possible?
  If there is not one, then I will gladly switch over to a webhost and use your software. I just need some answers and help to see if anything can be done.

  At the very least I’d like to be able to delete then so I can use it as my username because I’m guessing I can make any of the blog addresses Hollowitz.com after I purchase the domain upgrade.

  When you create a blog it reserves the username and a blog. This is to prevent someone else creating a username the same as your blog. Since you own the blog I would suggest asking support if they can create a user for you – I don’t know their policy on this.

  Really though if you are using the domain upgrade and set your user’s display name to Hollowitz (in “Edit Profile” ) there is no need – the users will see this name in th author fields and only you will see the name you use to log in.

  PS don’t delete your blogneither you nor anyone else will be able to reuse the name ever.
