Changing my wordpress domain name

  Hi guys,

  My current wordpress domain is http://www.feedindonesiadotorg.wordpress.com. When I initially signed up, it added the “dotorg” automatically. How can I change it so that it is simply http://www.feedindonesia.wordpress.com?

  Hi there!

  If the address to which you want to change is available, you can easily change that in your blog settings. More information can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Also, I wanted to mention WordPress.com blogs don’t use the www prefix in the url. You can get to your site with it in the address, but it will automatically be removed by WordPress.com. So it’s unnecessary to include it in your domain name.

  Hi Stothek,

  Thanks for the help. Unfortunately my site won’t let me change the address to feedindonesia.wordpress.com, because I accidentally deleted that blog name a while ago. Can anything be done to resurrect it?

  I’m afraid not. Once a blog is deleted, it’s permanent. Neither the content nor the name can be recovered or reused.
