Changing Nameservers
-
I would like to switch nameservers for my url chaletjordan.com which is currently managed through WordPress.
I follow the guide: Dashboard, store, domains and then I am told to search and select Domain administration, which will then allow me to log on and change the nameservers. I can’t see this button. I can see Edit DNS, but this only allows me to modify DNS settings, not the nameservers.
Anybody have any ideas. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your name appears to be registered at REGISTER.IT SPA You will need to change the name-servers there. That is separate from your WordPress.COM dashboard

Hello there,
This is the entry you are looking for > Domain Management >Update nameservers -

~~TT
It’s a group effort – the important part is that people asking for help here I think in the end get quick and accurate help – part of the beauty of this forum is that we all sort of double check each other –
It all works in the end.

I have a similar problem…
The documentation that you point to talks about a NameServer Button or “click ‘NameServers'”… but these don’t appear on my control panel screen at all! -
@observeitbrad: Did you buy the domain name through WordPress.com or from another company? If you don’t know: what is the domain name, please?
-
@airodyssey: Yes, I forgot to mention that: Thx for reminding me:
I purchased the domain directly from WordPress. A whois search shows the registrar of record is Wild West Domains. (I guess that is who WP works with…) WWD told me that they can’t help me at all.The domain is it-security-salary.com…. (But don’t bother trying to go there, cuz at this moment it’s a bit mixed up. I tried unsuccessfully to overcome the problem with an “A record” entry for www. subdomain, so http://www.it-security-salary.com goes to one place (the new host), and it-security-salary.com goes somewhere else. (the original WP host) )
TIA!

@observeitbrad That domain is registered at WordPress.com but it’s registered with a different username and email account. If you think that this was another account you had access to can you contact us privately? There we can work out the details.

I am a co-worker of Brad, and I am the one who registered the domain on WordPress. We tried contacting support before. Where should I send support request to?
Also, I’ve got no problem if you provide support here instead, if it will help others with same problem. -
-
You asked me to contact you via Support, but we have tried to get support for 2 weeks now, with 3 separate attempts, and we never get any response! Only that “Your request is flying through cyberspace….”
Please either check your support queue, or provide guidance here in the forum. I’m desperate to get this working, and all I need is this basic issue.

@ifg12, I found your help request from 5 days ago and sent a reply. You can access the domain administration options on the blog where the domain was purchased in the wp-admin pages, but you must be logged in as the purchasing user to see the options. I sent a link to your Store -> Domains page for you so it’s easy to find.
