Changing nameservers not working
-
Hello,
I have recently tried moving my wordpress.com site (kayfroebel.com) to a self hosted wordpress.org version, and I am running into many issues doing this. I have purchased hosting through godaddy. My domain is purchased through wordpress. I was told to change the nameservers from the wordpress ones to the godaddy ones which I have done. Unfortunately, when I type in kayfroebel.com it takes me to the existing wordpress site. If I try to go to the kayfroebel.com/wp-admin link, it times out and does not work. I contacted godaddy, but they say its a wordpress issue. I am so confused, and I have tried multiple different tutorials but I must be doing something OBVIOUSLY wrong for it not to work. I will admin, I am a bit of an idiot in this and am not able to pay the $140 to have it moved.
Could someone please try to tell me what I could possibly be doing wrong?

Hi there,
It looks like your domain: kayfroebel.com is no longer pointing to your WordPress.com site.
You’ve reached support for the free blogs hosted at WordPress.com. The site you’ve indicated is running a self-hosted/installed version of WordPress (using the free WordPress.org software).
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. You can read more about that here:
WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress at:
Unfortunately, I’m unable to help you for your WordPress.org site, but I can tell you for sure that your domain is pointing to GoDaddy at the moment. Now please work with WordPress.org and your host to make your site live.
I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
