Changing navigation in Pixel theme

Hi, everyone. I’m relatively new to wordpress, and php, so i’m not entirely sure to even look for in the code. I’m using pixel theme on my wordpress site, and i would like to make the category navigation that is right above the content into a page navigation, but retain the drop down for parent/child pages. I’ve managed to change it into a page navigation but i can’t figure out how to make it into a drop down menu with the child pages. Any help would greatly appreciated.
