changing of blog address

  I made the changes from: cherylsbutterbakes to cherylsbutterbakesblog however, when you enter the address it says: “it doesn’t exist”…

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  i’ve just compounded my problem. is there not a technical person with this hosting site that I can speak to about this? my primary blog is: cherylsbutterbakesblog.wordpress.com however, when you type that in it won’t go to that blog unless you go to: cherylsbutterbakes.wordpress.com. Then, I tried to change the site address it says it’s changed but still I can’t go directly to site. Well, today I figured (after reading your question) maybe I need to register the name so, i clicked to register it and typed it incorrectly. Now it shows I have another blog: cherlsbutterbakesblog.wordpress.com (which I totally don’t want). When looking into deleting it It indicates that I’d be eliminating my primary one which I discussed initially. I didn’t delete anything once I saw that b/c then I’d lose the rights to the name entirely. Help!!! How do I get rid of the mistaken blog ‘cherlsbutterbakesblog.wordpress.com’?

  You can delete that one following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  Sorry to be confusing but I already read the delete info…the problem is it would delete both blogs and then I’d be precluded from using the name:cherylsbutterbakesblog…..oh well, this site needs a direct technician to trouble shoot….(sigh)…

  No, it will only delete the blog that you specifically delete through that blog’s Dashboard.
