Changing of website’s URL

Hello,
I’ve recently deleted my old site ‘fartedrainbowsx.wordpress.com’ and I plan to change my 2nd site to ‘fartedrainbowsx.wordpress.com’ but I can’t seem to do it…
It’s deleted already…. so why can’t i change it?

Deleting a WordPress.com site doesn’t free up the address for you or someone else to reuse. It deletes the site and makes the address unavailable for any use in the future. (There would have been a warning about that when you were deleting it. See https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ for more.)
