Changing Our Website from Frontpage to WordPress

  How may we build our WordPress website without disrupting our current Frontpage website until we wish to make the transfer?

  Just want you to be sure you understand …

  Wordpress.com is the free blogging host.

  Wordpress.org is the site that passes out the self-hosted blogging software.

  I think that you might be in the wrong forum.

  @carl1duewer, are you going to be hosting your new site here at WordPress.com? If so, you can build out the site here and when it is ready, then you can point your domain name over to WordPress.com and attach it to your site here.

  If you will be building the WordPress site on the same server that your Frontpage site is on now, then you should be able to install the software and get the web host to set it up so that you have a temporary URL for the new site so that you can work on it. In this case, I would suggest contacting the web host to see what they can do.
