Changing over to wordpress.org

    Hi just wondering does anyone know as ive just changed my blog over to self-hosted wordpress if you can still keep the blog at wordpress.com?
    So that those joined on wordpress.com can still see my posts?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Actually, you can move your subscribers over by installing Jetpack on your new site and connecting it with your wordpress.com account. Full instructions are here: Moving Your Subscribers

    Let us know in this thread when you have completed the steps, and staff will do the final transfer for you.

    (It’s not a good idea to keep duplicate content going, because search engines don’t like it and might penalize you in the rankings.)

    You may also want to look at getting a Site Redirect upgrade to move all your traffic to the new site with you. Once that’s done, you can make the wordpress.com blog private and keep it as a backup.
