Changing Page & Post Title case
-
Will those menus allow me to add the individual categories, each post is labeled with? That’s what I’m trying to define. They work, as is. It’s just the repetition, I’d like to eliminate.

I know what your talking about, now. Making a custom sidebar menu. I’ll give that a try, when I’m able. I currently have help resolving an issue. Widgets aren’t even showing up in my customization, at all, at the moment. Lol
-
I added a custom menu, but don’t like the way it individually lists a post by title. I liked the categories, but wish there was a way to control which showed up per-dropdown. Individually listing the products, would make the redundancy factor even more obvious, so they’re better left as categories. Did it through admin, to bypass the absence of widgets in customization. I can thank Victoria for waking me up to the fact, that I was still able to access it there. :)

Thanks for all of your help, through this. I’m pretty much finished, with any customization, at this point. Everything added looks & works, GREAT!!

Hello, thesacredpath! I actually do have a couple of additional things to address, if you have a sec.
I have added some buttons, and would like it to change its appearance when hovered over. Even just a standard flash of opacity (I think), would work. You can find one here, for reference: http://hudsonchemicals.com/2015/11/26/ec23-extrm-cln/ . It’s the orange “MSDS”, at the upper right of the page’s content. Every product has one, and I’d like to give it some life. I may add additional buttons, if I’m able to pull this effect off.
I also need to shrink the entry title’s font size on mobile only. I tried some code, similar to the mobile site title CSS, but didn’t know the exact defining verbiage.
Thanks for your assistance,…AGAIN. :)

Also, used your sidebar menus-over-categories idea. Definitely improved the professionalism level!

On the buttons, add a class of “my-button” to the image code in the Text tab of the post editor so that it looks something like this
<a href="http://hudsonchemicals.com/extrm-cln-msds"><img width="60" height="28" class="alignright my-button wp-image-2158" src="https://hudsonchemicalsdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2015/11/msdssquare.png?w=60&h=28" alt=""></a>
and then add the following, which sets the button at a 0.7 opacity when not hovered and then changes it to 1 when hovered.img.my-button { opacity: 0.7; } img.my-button:hover { opacity: 1; } -
On the entry titles on single post pages, add the following and adjust as you desire. I’ve done the max-width at 480px, which seems a good break point.
@media screen and (max-width: 480px) { body.page .entry-title, body.single .entry-title, .error404 .entry-title { font-size: 2.5em; } }The above will change page titles also.

Oh boy. I’m about to open a can of worms, but here goes…
I would also like to make my text links underline, when hovered. The buttons work great, and it made me realize that some other trickery was missing.
-
And another..Lol
I would like to put specific wording in the search bubbles, and possibly adjust the font to fit it.

Hi hudsonchemicals
Let’s see if I can help :)
Try this:
a:hover { text-decoration: underline; } -
Hey g471n, Thanks! I don’t know why, I thought it would be more complicated. Perfect!! Is the search text change, not possible? I want to add something like, “Search by Keyword, Part Number or Product…”
-
Hello! Ran into a problem, with that underline style. It even activated the site title. I tried to mess with an “except” option, but couldn’t make it work.
-
OK … This will only underline links in the main content of the page but not the site title.
#content a:hover { text-decoration: underline; } -
It seems like it is not possible to change the search text using CSS, as the text in the search box is generated using JavaScript.
