Changing Page Title/Text Offset in CSS
-
Hi there,
Having trouble figuring out how to change the offset in the Twenty Eleven theme for page titles and body text.
This doesn’t work for even the page titles:
#entry-title {
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
}Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Oh, and the blog I need help with is not adrianstouffer.wordpress.com. It is a website I am working on that is currently set to “private.”

What do you mean by “change the offset”? Are you trying to reduce the gap between above the page titles (as seen on the Twenty Eleven demo site)?
If so that can be done with this code:
.singular.page .hentry { padding-top:0; }If not can you provide some more detail (and maybe a screenshot) of what you want the result to be.

Hi hallluke!
Yes, and the gap to the left of the page titles/body text as well. The CSS you gave me worked for the gap above the page title, but did not for the gap to the left of the page title and body copy. I tried this:
.singular.page .hentry {
padding-top: 0;
padding-left: 0;

Hi there, I see your site is now set to the Confit theme. Have you changed to that theme, or are you still wanting to use Twenty Eleven?
-
That’s odd. I didn’t change the theme. Yes, I still want to use the Twenty Eleven theme. In my account, it still looks like I am using the Twenty Eleven theme. Incidentally, I did figure out the issue. IE makes it hard for a beginner like me to identify the CSS. I changed to Chrome and now it is much easier.
