Changing Permalinks from Default to Post Name
-
When I change my permalinks setting from default to post name, it breaks all of the links for my pre-existing blog posts.
Do I have to manually change my blog links to the post name format, or is there an easy way to automatically change my links to the name format?

@karineskoog: what is the URL (https://…) of your site hosted by WordPress.com?
https://karineskoog.wordpress.com/ is no longer available & was deleted.Re: permalinks
Permalink structure cannot be changed on sites hosted by WordPress.COM. They can only be changed on wordpress.ORG software installs. See: Moving to self hosted WordPress http://move.wordpress.com -
Re: about WordPress.org & these forums
These forums are only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
And you should ask in the WordPress.org forums.
http://wordpress.org/support/If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there.

Thanks for the info! It is for a different website, and you’re correct, it is using WordPress.org. I didn’t realize there was a difference. I’ll check in on the .org support site.
Thanks again!
