How do I add a custom header image to my blog?

  Hi, I am trying to change the picture that appears on my blog when I open it. Every time I open it, these pre-set pictures appear. I went to general settings and uploaded a new picture under the blog picture, but when I open my blog it doesn’t appear. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

  The picture you uploaded in the general settings page is actually for your Blavatar, not for your blog header.

  You can add a custom header image by going to Appearance > Header from your blog’s Dashboard, and uploading an image.

  hmmm….when i upload an image under header, it comes out as a black rectangle…there is no image.. any reason why?

  Does the image show up before you crop it for your header image in Custom Header page?

  Can you please upload the image directly to your media library at https://cityspot.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php ? Then please send me the link to the file and we’ll take a look.
