  I am trying to change the very first picture on my website. Just started today. Using 2017 theme. Thank you.

  Hi there,

  The first image that appears on your site is known as the header image. You can update it using the Header Image panel in the WordPress Customizer.

  You can access the Customizer by clicking the My Sites button that appears in the top left after you login to WordPress.com, and then clicking Customize.

  It seems that your site nortonminigolf.com is not hosted on WordPress.com.

  Your site is hosted on HOSTGATOR with a software install of WordPress.org which means that it is not applicable to this forum. You can read the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
