Changing Placement order of Links
-
I am trying to change the order of how my blog looks in the “Links” area which is the right hand side of my blog. It’s probably very simple, as it was easy to create, but I can’t figure out how to change the appearance. I would like to have my cooperative intelligence “stuff” at the top instead of the middle, for example. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot change the order of appearance. You can order them by name, id, address and rating while editing them in your dashboard, but on your blog thye will always be in alphabetical order, first by category and then by name.

The workaround is removing the Links widget and putting your links in Text widgets instead (one for each link category). I can think of three ways you can do that:
a) Write the links in a draft post the way you’re used to, then copy the whole result from the html editor and paste it in the widget.
b) Write them directly in the widget, using the html code for links, and enclosing them in the html code for unordered lists.
c) Copy the complete thing from the source code of your page (before you remove the Links widget) and paste it in the Text widget.
Let me know which one of the above you’d rather do – which one you’d like further assistance with.

Hi,
I will take a look at how this might best be accomplished based on these options in the AM. It’s Friday night and I’m off to an art benefit evening to raise $ for a charity.
Thanks so much!

You’re welcome.
PS1 Option c is faster.
PS2 Instead of the above, you can of course retain the Links widget and just add appropriate numbers or letters before the actual titles of your link categories.
