Changing Post area background to Opaque

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,
    I am trying to set my pages to have a more opaque image on the background. I have the Custom upgrade on the Motif Theme
    I found this and it changed the actual post to opaque which I will show some so that there is a contrast to improve reading but the ultimate is I want the main background to be seen and not the layers.

    .site-content article {
    background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5) !important;
    }

    if you look at the page you will see that there is a “gray” area under the actual body of the text. this is what I want to change.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi chrisvrojo,

    What if you try it without the article selector so just

    .site-content {
    background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5) !important;
    }

    Does that do what you are looking for?

    Yes it does thanks. I am trying to change all the other areas but cannot seem to get them to act correct. the main menu has a black background and the font is white. I tinkered from something else I found and a portion of it changed but there is a large border or another field behind it I cannot get to change.

    I have been able to change the fonts needed. I inspected the elements of the home page and had to create a modification for each in CSS edit. thank you for your help
