Changing post display format?
-
Hey guys…
I’m using wordpress from the wordpress.com control panel, have very little technical knowledge about editing theme files and all this kind of thing, so if you need me to do anything like that I’ll need you to walk me through it step by step… if you’ll be so kind.
Basically, all I want to do is for the blog to be displayed with the first post appearing first. Is this ascending or descending order? I think it’s descending. Anyway, so I have posted 9 posts to a new blog tonight, and it’s showing them the most recent first.
How can I alter this?
I could have sworn there used to be a simple option to do it in the menu…
There are options to do some crazy things I don’t even understand, but not to reverse the order of the posts!!!Anyway,
please help :-)Aden
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but there is no means of reversing the order of display. Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool and you cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog.
Readers arrive to read our most recent posts. In the case of my blog that means they don’t have to slog through over 800 posts to locate the most recent one.
See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.
You could use a sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
