Changing Primary Domain name

How do I change my free url?
Here is the situation.
When I first started a wordpress blog, it was going to be for my band. So I created GordonAvenue.wordpress.com as the free primary domain name.
Over the past 4 years it has become anything but that. It is a relationship blog having nothing to do with my band.So when I invite people to go to GordonAvenue.Wordpress.com…that’s really confusing. If I started a new blog than I would not have the past 4 years’ stats, information, past blogs, etc.
Is there a way I could change my primary wordpress domain?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is, but I recommend against it. For one thing, it means the old URL is permanently, irreversibly dead. They SAY there’s a way to avoid that, but judging from the complaints I see every day, it’s not easy. And to move the followers and redirect the traffic from old links, it will cost you a $30 redirect upgrade.
A better idea is to spend $18 a year on a custom domain, so you get whatever.com instead of what you have now. Nothing else changes, all your stats and followers remain the same. It’s cheaper and easy. There is a temporary, about four month long drop in search engine rankings, but nowhere near the drop you’d get if you changed to a different whatever.wordpress.com URL; in that latter case, your pagerank drops to zero!

Yes you can change your primary wordpress domain by registering a new domain or by mapping an Existing Domain.
