Changing primary mapped domain?

  Hi, is there a way to change my primary mapped domain? When I started building my site, I mapped a domain thinking that it would be easy to change. I have since purchased another domain name I actually plan to use, but cannot see a way to switch it.

  Did you purchase the new domain through WordPress.com or any other third party?

  If you bought your domain elsewhere you can map it to wordpress.com : https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
  And to switch you primary domain please have a look at the following support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain.

  Thanks. I purchased the domain through a third party. Basically I want to un-map the current domain, in order to map another domain. Both are 3rd party purchases. I still cannot see a way to do that without paying a fee to add another domain. It will only allow me to switch between the wordpress.com URL and the currently-mapped 3rd party URL.

  Is it possible to un-map & replace the primary domain?
