Changing primary owner & payment of site

I set up two sites, paid for them with my credit card, and now want to transfer ownership & renewals, additions, etc, to Seeley James ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) I’ve looked at the STORE options and do not see anyway to take my cc off the account. right now it looks like I will be charged for the renewal. How can i fix this? Thanks, Andrew

Hi there,
Credit card information is not shared in a blog transfer, so please don’t worry about that.
All you will need to do is follow the steps to transfer your blog to a new user, outlined here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-accountThe current upgrades will transfer with the blog, but when they expire, it will be up to the new user to purchase them again.

I got this, “As you have a domain upgrade your request has been sent to support who will contact you shortly.” after following the instructions. I’ll take that as a phone call? And business hours? If there is anything else I need to do, let me know. Otherwise, this is closed. Thanks! Andrew

No, when you request the blog transfer, we’ll receive an email, then we’ll reply to confirm with you that you’d like us to transfer the blog and any active upgrades.
We sent you an email to confirm the blog transfer. Can you reply to that?

I have not received an email from WordPress other than the notification of your answer to my question. Figuring the click didn’t work, I tried it again and got this note at the bottom of the transfer page: “You cannot transfer to that user.” What user? there was no opportunity to enter one…

I’m sorry for the confusion!
This is something that we need to do for you, and I have just taken care of it.
What I did was disable auto-renew (which clears your CC info) and transferred ownership of the upgrades to seeleyjames.

Thank you, he still doesn’t see a way to set up his cc info. Does it take some time to work through your system?
Are we doing this right? He goes to Dashboard-> my blogs -> (he sees Shortthrills but it does not have the same options like ‘transfer blog’) .

He’ll need to renew the upgrades manually before the next expiration. Then, he’ll have the option to save his credit card info for future auto-renewals.
