  Is there a feature to change status of posts from public to private EN MASSE?

  As well, all the search engines will still have cached copies of all the blog entries.

  What you might want to do is export the contents of that blog and wipe it, and start a new one that’s private from the word go, importing the contents to it.

  Agreed – no categories that spiders view as tags – no rss feed – start new.
