Changing Roles
-
I had inadvertently clicked the wrong button when I sent the invitation to my blog. Now I see the person is part of my team as ‘contributor.’ But I just really invited her as Follower. How can I change that?

Hi,
Please read the document linked below to teach you how to change a user role.

Thank you for your reply!
However, when I clicked the person, the roles listed are only: Administrator, Editor, Author, Contributor. And, that person is listed in my team, not among my followers.
I would like to person to be a Follower. Do I delete that person from my team and resend the invitation?

Hi,

Yes, you can do that.
Here is more information about followers if you need it.
Follower
Followers do not have any editing privileges on your site whatsoever; they are simply people who have signed up to receive updates each time you publish a new post. The only thing they can do on your site is leave comments (if you have them enabled), though they do not have to be a Follower to do so.If your blog is public, anyone can follow it, but you can also send out invitations to specific people you’d like to share your blog with.
If your blog is private, nobody will be able to follow it unless you specifically invite them, at which point they become a Viewer.

If you need more information about followers you can find that here.

Hi there!
Since you won’t be able to change their permissions from Contributor to Follower, you will indeed want to remove them and resend the invite.
You can do it from https://writingnell.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php.
