Changing Search Widget Settings
-
I want to change the settings of the search bar widget to only search for tags used on my post or to highlight posts, and not just words in the post itself. My blog is a walk through of an online game and I tag all of my posts with the name of each quest with the purpose that players with questions can search for the name of the specific quest they are having trouble with. Is there a way to do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

:/ Okay.
Is there a way that specific phrases can be searched? Not just single words. Like do putting the keywords in quotations work?

It seems to me that there are some query stuff that can be used, but I can’t remember for sure. I’ll tag this for staff attention since they are likely the only ones that would know for sure.

Not really, we don’t have any specific query additions, but it does search contextually for the all search terms.
So, if you search for two words (without quotes), it will only find posts with those two words.

On some themes, it is built in, and you’d need the Custom Design upgrade to remove or hide it. You could just switch themes to one that does not have it built in, though. If you use one of those then it’s literally just a widget, and you can take it out or put it in the sidebar as you please.
