Changing site address

  I was wondering if changing the address of a wordpress.com site means losing the content published on that site?

  Hi there,

  When you change site addresses, the old address is deleted and is no longer available for anyone to use again. Your content is not affected.

  You can register a custom domain name. The custom domain name will take over as your site address, and visitors who have your WordPress.com address will be redirected to your new domain name.

  Thanks for the reply, I managed to change the site address without any issues.
