Changing Site URL
-
I just changed my site address/url and deleted the old site name. My blog, though, still shows the old URL when you got to it. The new site name is “italiandishknits.com” and when you go to that url, it “redirects” you to the old site url – “beechtreeknits”. I thought I had changed it.
How can I get the URL to only say “italiandishknits.com”?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’re almost there, you just need to select the new domain as your primary at Upgrades -> Domains in your Dashboard.

No, I did that. But when you type “italiandishknits.com” you still get a “beechtreeknits.com” url. Any other ideas?
Thank you.

No, not there.
You need to make the change in Upgrades -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.

I don’t get it. What do I do in Upgrades? I already bought the italiandishknits.com domain.
By the way – in “My Blogs” the old domain, “beechtreeknits” doesn’t even show up anymore. Why would my site still be under that URL?

You need to access the Dashboard for the blog in question, not the Global Dashboard.
Look at the sidebar to the left and click “Upgrades”
Then, click “Domains” under that.
You’ll see your three domains, italiandishknits.com, beechtreeknits.com, and italiandishknits.wordpress.com (the core blog).
Select italiandishknits.com as your primary domain.
