  I posted quite a few slideshows that I would now rather just be a gallery of photos . How do I do that?

  To do that, change the block type https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/#changing-a-block-type to either a Gallery or Tiled Gallery block:

  Gallery Block

  Tiled Gallery Block
