Changing submenu color/density
-
Most of my readers are over 60 and the faint color/density of the submenu in this template is difficult to see. I would like to have the submenus just as “bright” or “dense” as the parent topics and then enhance the parent topic just a little to make it stand out as it was originally. This is a great template, just need this little tweak to help our members.

Hello @parcvolunteer17,
If you’re referring to these submenus in gray – https://i.imgur.com/sl63leo.png, with your WordPress plan you can change the colors by adding custom css in your Customizer.
1. Click this link: https://wordpress.com/customize/w5wx.net
2. Go to CSS on the side menu.
3. Then put in this code:.main-navigation li li a { color: #FFFFFF;4. You can change the hex value (FFFFFF) to a different color if you want. You can refer to this link for colors: http://htmlcolorcodes.com/
5. Click Save and Publish button. You can find more information from this link:

Am I correct in determining that Delicacy theme (retired) does not have a CSS input method? The links are to very predetermined allowable basic changes.
My only options are:Site ID
Colors & Background
Fonts
Header Image
Menus
Widget
STatic Front Page

@annedh52, to add custom CSS, you would need the WordPress.com Premium or Business plan, which include Custom Design and the ability to add custom CSS.
