Changing template – photos wrong size?

I’d like to try a different template for my blog (http://findingtampa.wordpress.com). When I preview it on different templates, the photos are either squished horizontally or stretched vertically. Is this just a preview effect, or will they really look like that when I change the template? My photos have been sized in Photoshop with the current template in mind, and they are published at original size. I would never have time to go back and resize every image manually, so I’m hoping there’s some work-around? I don’t need them to display at original size in another template, just at the correct proportion.
I should mention I don’t have a particular template in mind right now, but I’m seeing this distortion when I preview my blog in most of the templates. I’m currently using Modularity Lite.
    Thank you!

Hi. Each theme has a maximum image width. Images that are wider than that value will be squished or cropped. Details here:

Thank you for the link. So it sounds like I need to stick with Modularity Lite unless I manually resize each photo?

findingtampa …I did the same. Switched from Modularity Lite to another theme, and yes, I had to resize all the photos. There are certain themes that automatically resize them though. Choco is one of them and one reason I switched to it from Mod Lite. There are probably others, but so far I haven’t found them.
