Changing text

Hi there, I’d like to build a simple landing page that will have a tagline where the last word changes – is this possible?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi @info4fbb06a66e9, anything is possible! Can you clarify what you’re hoping for? Would the line be changing by itself, like a slideshow of words? Both options would likely require a third party plugin.
Or would you be hoping to display a word related to the category you’re on? Let us know so we can point you in the right direction.
Also, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com, vs. sites using WordPress code with another host. If you’re not sure about your site, send a link and we’ll go from there.

Hi supernovia!
Thanks for getting back to me.
I indeed imagine the text to be changing by itself. So as an example the sentence would read ‘Our product will make you ____’, and the blank would change automatically between the words ‘harder’, ‘faster’, ‘stronger’.

Thanks for the explanation. My suggestion is to hire somebody to help you with this. This is beyond the level of help we can provide as it will take considerable customization to create. Do you want each of those rotating words to link to different places on the site as well, or just be plain text?
Another consideration for highly customized work is that you’re likely going to experience more issues with it not working as browsers update over time. It will need to be continually tweaked.
I do think that you could create the same effect with a post slider or something similar that is already built in to WordPress.com and that would not require on going maintenance or additional expenses. If there’s an example of this on an existing site somewhere please send us a link so we can take a look at it. Thanks!
